Lady Wong, an East Village pastry shop that is home base for vibrant Southeast Asian treats, has joined with Salil Mehta’s Singapura restaurant to offer early afternoon tea service, by way of Singapore. A trolley laden with choices like Lady Wong’s lychee tart, black sesame passion fruit cake, mango mousse, pandan serimuka (a custard cake) and more, circles the room. Dessert wines, spirits, cocktails and teas are poured to accompany the sweets.
Singapura and Lady Wong Afternoon Tea, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 12; Singapura, 31 East 20th Street, 646-429-9886, singapura.nyc.
