Kristen Elizabeth McCannon and Capt. Pavan Shridhar Krishnamurthy were married March 7 at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas. Chandramouli Srinivasan, a Hindu priest, led an interfaith ceremony incorporating both Hindu and Christian wedding traditions, with Sydney Menees, a Universal Life minister and friend of the couple, taking part.
The couple met at Georgetown, from which each received a law degree, the groom cum laude.
Mrs. Krishnamurthy, 30, is an associate specializing in international trade at the Washington office of Barnes & Thornburg, a law firm based in Indianapolis. She graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto.
She is the daughter of Susan P. McCannon and Bruce A. McCannon of Rochester. The bride’s father is a quality manager for SPX Flow, an industrial equipment manufacturing company in Rochester, N.Y. Her mother retired as a teacher at the Learning Center, an alternative education school in Churchville, N.Y.
Captain Krishnamurthy, 29, is an assistant staff judge advocate in the United States Air Force JAG Corps and is stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Before commissioning as an officer in the Air Force, he was an associate at Sidley Austin, where he practiced international trade and national security law. He graduated from Northwestern, and received a master’s degree, with distinction, from the London School of Economics.
He is the son of Kalpana Krishnamurthy and Shridhar Krishnamurthy of Coppell, Texas. The groom’s mother is a pharmacist at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Dallas. His father is the vice president of cloud services and information technology at Entercoms, a supply-chain management company in Irving, Texas.
