Kelsey McCollum Moran and Andrew Olufemi Okuyiga were married Aug. 10 at Republic Restoratives, a distillery in Washington. Felicia Goldstein, a friend of the couple who received authorization to preside at this event by the clerk of Washington’s Superior Court of the District of Columbia, officiated.
The bride, 30, is the chief of staff to Representative Lois Frankel, Democrat of Florida, and works in Washington. The bride graduated from Indiana University.
She is the daughter of Robin McCollum Moran and Martin L. Moran of Western Springs, Ill. The bride’s father is a partner executive, in Western Springs, for Trimble, a software company. Her mother is an operations assistant at Risk Placement Services, an insurance company in Rolling Meadows, Ill.
The groom, 31, is a public policy manager and a lobbyist in Washington for Amazon. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard.
He is a son of Marilyn L. Okuyiga of Vung Tau City, Vietnam, and Moyosore O. Okuyiga of Katy, Tex. The groom’s mother is a primary schoolteacher at the Singapore International School in Vung Tau City. His father retired as a reservoir engineer for BP, the oil company, in Houston.
The couple met in 2011 while playing kickball in an adult social sports league in Washington.
