Of course Keke Palmer went big. To prepare for hosting the MTV Video Music Awards this year, Palmer took more than 10 precautionary COVID-19 tests to ensure she’d be in top form for the big night. Given her devotion to making sure she’s healthy onstage, we knew she had something bold prepared for us—and she did not disappoint. Working with stylists Mel Reneé Leamon, Mikiel Benyamin and Chance Davis; hair stylist Ann Jones; makeup artist Mimi Kamara; and nail artist Sarah Nguyen, Palmer assembled a lineup of looks by designers including Versace, Area, David Koma and Valentino. Palmer’s come a long way from playing the teen vice president of a fashion company for Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP. Now, she’s the one fashion’s biggest names want to dress. Here are her best looks of the night.
