Kathleen Kelly Daughety and Mathias Brendan Weiden were married May 25. Jackson B. Dunlap, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the event, officiated at the governor’s mansion in Topeka, Kan.
The bride and groom both received M.B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where they met.
Ms. Daughety, 34, is a senior manager in the food delivery unit, in New York, of Uber, the ride-service company. She graduated from the University of Kansas.
She is a daughter of Gov. Laura J. Kelly and Dr. Ted W. Daughety of Topeka. The bride’s father, a pulmonologist and sleep specialist, is in private practice in Topeka. Her mother, a Democrat, is the governor of Kansas.
Mr. Weiden, 33, is a senior operations director in New York for HelloFresh, the meal-delivery service. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.
He is a son of Kathleen McCarrick Weiden and Brendan P. Weiden of Bronxville, N.Y. The groom’s mother, a certified public accountant, is the senior managing director for tax at the LeFrak Organization, the real estate company in New York. His father, a professional engineer, is a senior partner at Jaros Baum & Bolles, an engineering company, also in New York.
