Katherine Marie Dopulos and Nicholas Michael McCormick were married June 29 in Syracuse. The Rev. Dr. Brian E. Konkol, a Lutheran minister and the dean of Syracuse University’s Hendricks Chapel, performed the ceremony there.
Mrs. McCormick, 28, is a lead analyst in the Syracuse office of Bank of New York Mellon. She graduated from Haverford College, and is a candidate for a master’s degree in applied data science at Syracuse University. She is also an associate on the Haverford College board of managers.
She is a daughter of Christine E. Larsen and Vincent P. Dopulos of Montclair, N.J. The bride’s father is a counselor and therapist in private practice with offices in Montclair and in New York. Her mother retired in March as the chief operating officer, in New York, at the First Data Corporation, which manages debit and credit card transactions. She is a trustee of Syracuse University.
Mr. McCormick, 29, is a structural engineer at S.R. Sloan, a truss manufacturer, in Whitesboro, N.Y. He graduated from Clarkson University.
He is a son of Linda M. McCormick and Dennis A. McCormick of Oneida, N.Y. The groom’s mother is a letter carrier, in Oneida, for the United States Postal Service. His father is a corrections officer at Mohawk Correctional Facility, a state prison in Rome, N.Y.
The couple met at a Syracuse beer garden in 2016.
