Katherine Fox Boas and Daniel Jason Hirt were married May 4 at the New York Public Library. Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York officiated. On May 3, Rabbi Joy Levitt led a religious ceremony at Gigino at Wagner Park, a restaurant in New York.
Ms. Boas, 38, is the executive vice president and a director of Carl Marks & Company, a New York merchant bank that was founded by her great-grandfather. She is also a founder of Barefoot M.B.A., a New York group that provides materials to help organizations teach basic business methods to microloan recipients. She graduated from Brown and received an M.B.A. from Stanford.
She is a daughter of Elisabeth K. Boas of Chevy Chase, Md., and Dr. Richard S. Boas of Wilton, Conn. She is a stepdaughter of Arthur B. Spitzer and Carol A. Boas.
Mr. Hirt, 40, is the vice president for operations and strategy at Axio, a New York company that helps businesses understand and manage their cyber risk. He graduated and received both a law degree and an M.B.A. from Northwestern.
He is a son of Dr. Paula S. Hirt and Richard I. Hirt of Dix Hills, N.Y.
The couple met in March 2017 through the dating app JSwipe.
