Katharine Leigh Beck and Joshua Lake McGuire were married June 22. The Rev. Bruce H. Davidson, a Lutheran minister, officiated at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, N.J.
Ms. Beck, 36, is the director for college counseling at the NYC iSchool, a public high school in New York. She is also an adjunct instructor for counseling and clinical psychology at Columbia University’s Teachers College. She graduated from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., received a master’s degree in education from Seton Hall and received another master’s degree, in psychological counseling, from Columbia.
She is a daughter of Lois Platz Kopf of Morristown, N.J., and Gregory A. Beck of Durham, N.C., and is also a stepdaughter of Rodger C. Kopf.
Mr. McGuire, 39, is a senior director for commercial leasing at Tishman Speyer, the New York real estate investment company. He graduated from Connecticut College and received both a law degree and a master’s degree in international business and trade law from Fordham.
He is a son of Dr. Mary Lake Polan of Camp Verde, Tex., and Dr. Joseph S. McGuire of Guilford, Conn., and is also a stepson of Frank A. Bennack Jr.
