Karen Ruth Dubbin and Reed Alexander Goodwin were married March 14 at the Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach. Eric Dubbin, a Universal Life minister and an uncle of the bride, officiated.
The bride, 30, is a biomaterials engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif., where she focuses on bioprinting for tissue engineering applications. She graduated from M.I.T., and she received a Ph.D. in material science and engineering from Stanford. She is the daughter of Susan H. Dubbin and David C. Dubbin of Boca Raton, Fla.
The groom, 35, is a staff scientist in the department of biology at Stanford. He graduated from Washington State University and received a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Connecticut. He is the son of Gail Goodwin in San Anselmo, Calif., and Stephen Goodwin of San Francisco.
The couple met on Craigslist in January 2017.
