Julianna Michelle Scheiman and Dr. Daniel Morris Beswick were married Sept. 1 at the Antler Basin Ranch in Granby, Colo. Rabbi Amanda Schwartz officiated.
Ms. Scheiman, 29, is a mission manager at SpaceX, an aerospace company, as part of the team responsible for NASA satellite launches. She works remotely in Denver and from company headquarters in Hawthorne, Calif. She graduated from Dartmouth.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa J. Scheiman of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Dr. James M. Scheiman of Charlottesville, Va. The bride’s father is the chief of gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Va. The bride’s mother is a certified nurse midwife and the director of the sexual assault nurse examiner program for Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The bride’s stepfather, Mark R. Kneisel, is a first assistant prosecutor for the Washtenaw County prosecutor’s office in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Beswick, 35, is an assistant professor of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colo. He graduated from Brown and received a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
The groom is a son of Sandra L. Beswick and Dr. David R. Beswick of Wilmington, Del. The groom’s mother retired as a nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and was a stay-at-home parent. His father is a gastroenterologist at Gastroenterology Associates at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del.
The couple met in the summer of 2014 on a group trip to see the World Cup in Brazil. On their first date, after returning to the United States, they went road biking and surfing in Palo Alto, Calif.
