Judy Yung-Ling Chang and Christopher Gerona Gayomali were married March 23 at 501 Union, an events space in Brooklyn. Andrew Joon Lee, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the event, officiated.
The couple met at the University of California, Irvine, from which they graduated.
The bride, who is 33 and works in Manhattan, is the deputy chief of staff for the division of bridges at the New York City Transportation Department. She also holds a master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia. She is the daughter of Pao-Kuei Yang Chang and Chung-Kuang Chang of Rowland Heights, Calif. The bride’s parents are retired as the owners of the Driftwood Motel in South Gate, Calif.
The groom, who is 34 and also works in Manhattan, is the site editor of GQ magazine. He holds a master’s degree from N.Y.U. in publishing: digital and print media. He is a son of Rosemarie Gayomali and Emeterio Gayomali of Long Beach, Calif. The groom’s mother is a registered nurse at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. His father is a clinical lab scientist at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in Los Angeles.
