Jessica Lauren Rogers and Dr. Brett Logan Ecker were married Sept. 14 at the Barnes Foundation, an art museum in Philadelphia. Rabbi William Kuhn officiated.
Last month, Mrs. Ecker, 30, completed a clerkship in Philadelphia for Judge Cheryl Ann Krause the of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. In November, she is to begin working as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, a New York law firm. She graduated from Columbia, from which she also received a law degree.
She is the daughter of Sylvia T. Rogers and Thomas S. Rogers of Larchmont, N.Y. The bride’s father is the executive chairman of WinView Games, a sports gaming company based in Redwood City, Calif. He was also the former president and chief executive of TiVo, the digital video recorder company, and before that the first president of NBC Cable and the founder CNBC. Her mother is the former owner of Leapin’ Lizards, a children’s play and party space, in Port Chester, N.Y.
Dr. Ecker, 32, is in his last year of a seven-year general surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. In July 2020, he is to begin a fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. He graduated from Brown and received a medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
He is a son of Felice L. Ecker and Howard J. Ecker of Ardsley, N.Y. The groom’s father is the chief executive of Ecker Windows, a window installation business in Yonkers. His mother, who is retired, was a math teacher at Yonkers Middle High in Yonkers.
The couple met in 2017 in Philadelphia through the dating app Bumble.
