Jennifer Elizabeth Sawyer and Jacob Patrick Bogardus were married Sept. 13 at John Paul II Church in Southbridge, Mass. The Rev. David Dwyer, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony.
Ms. Sawyer, 32, is the editor in chief of Busted Halo, a Roman Catholic media resource in Manhattan. She graduated from Fordham.
She is the daughter of Maryann B. Guczek-Sawyer and Christopher J. Sawyer of Springfield, Mass. The bride’s father retired as the manager of an A.&P. grocery store in Newington, Conn. Her mother is a national merchandising analyst for C&S Wholesale Grocers in Hatfield, Mass.
Mr. Bogardus, 30, is the vice president for operations in Manhattan of Stack Sports, which makes software for sports clubs and leagues. He graduated from Cornell.
He is the son of Joan M. Fontana and Brent E. Bogardus of Coxsackie, N.Y. The groom’s mother retired as the deputy chief clerk of the New York State Court of Claims in Albany. His father is retired as the senior special assistant to the majority leader at the New York State Senate in Albany and is the current Greene County Republican chairman.
The couple met online in 2014.
