Jennie Davis Sears and Zachary West Fried were married Nov. 2 at the Bayside Historical Society in Bayside, Queens. The Rev. Tracy Sprowls, a Unitarian Universalist minister, officiated.
The bride, 32, is a designer of Vince women’s footwear at the Manhattan office of Caleres, a St. Louis-based shoe company. She graduated with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design.
She is the daughter of Mary Seehafer Sears and David L. Sears of Parsippany, N.J.
The groom, 33, is a founder and brand director of Craighill, a New York-based product design company. He graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.
He is a son of Dr. Mary Pamela Finnerty of Washington and Bruce M. Fried of Arlington, Va.
The couple met in 2006 at a house party when the bride was visiting a mutual friend at Wesleyan. They reconnected in 2009 via Facebook.
