Isabella Gonzalez and Moran Nachum are to be married Oct. 20 at Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden in Santa Barbara, Calif. Rabbi Daniel Brenner is to officiate.
Ms. Gonzalez, 28, is a founder and a chief technology officer for Zither AI, a software platform in Los Angeles that analyzes television and film scripts. She graduated from Rice University in Houston and received a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
She is a daughter of Marissa S. Gonzalez and Prudencio Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas. The bride’s father is a rig welder for H&S Constructors in Corpus Christi. Her mother is a prekindergarten teacher at Dr. J. A. Garcia Elementary School in Corpus Christi.
Mr. Nachum, 29, is a senior product manager for Edmunds, an online automobile information service in Santa Monica, Calif. He graduated from Cornell.
He is a son of Dr. Gila Schneider-Nachum and Ephraim Nachum of Northborough, Mass. The groom’s mother is a postdoctoral associate at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Wooster, Mass. His father, who is retired, was a quality assurance engineer at Dell EMC, a data solutions storage company in Hopkinton, Mass.
The couple first connected on Facebook through a mutual friend in 2012. The following year, amid a stopover trip to move her things from Texas to San Francisco, Ms. Gonzalez and Mr. Nachum met in person, when Ms. Gonzalez and a friend stayed with Mr. Nachum for a weekend at his home in Los Angeles.
