As part of the launch of a new capsule collection co-designed with Tommy Hilfiger, the actor assembled a group of activists for a shoot in the Bronx, helmed by photographer Myles Loftin and showing off select pieces from the new collaboration. A notable aspect about the capsule is its intentional fluidity. No piece is meant to be worn exactly the same way across different models. Shoulders are dropped and widened to better suit an array of body types. And Moore infused items with a taste of their own history, from the “Bronx” lettering on the collegiate sweatshirt to the lotus flower graphic that pops up on select garments, a nod to Moore’s own growth as the actor came into their own.

Activists whom Moore picked to show off the clothes included multimedia artist Chella Man, model and activist Gia Love, model and actor Cory Walker, and Pidgeon, co-founder of the Intersex Justice Project, who each assembled for a series of shots meant to invoke the feel of ’90s R&B. “Aaliyah is one of my favorite artists, and when I think about Tommy Hilfiger, I think about her,” Moore stated ahead of the capsule’s release.
