Coco Jones is ready for the Grammys. Ahead of Sunday’s ceremony, the singer joined her fellow nominees at Spotify’s Best New Artist Party last night, where she dazzled on both the red carpet and the stage. First, she arrived in a look by Moschino, mixing textures in a lace corset top and a crochet midi skirt from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Then when it came time to perform, she changed into a brown, two-piece look with lace-up detailing.
Jones is nominated in five categories for this year’s awards: Best New Artist, Best R&B Album (What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe)), Best R&B Performance (“ICU”), Best R&B Song (“ICU”), and Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Simple”). To make it even sweeter, these mark her first Grammy nominations ever. We’ll have to wait and see if she takes home any trophies on Sunday, February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A.
Regardless of the outcome, Jones has learned a lot from her recent success. “It’s been such a learning experience to see what songs people love,” she
told ELLE.com last June. “Before this, I hadn’t dropped any music in years and I didn’t know what was going to happen. But now I see that the world is really eager for more quality and authenticity.”
Below, get a behind-the-scenes look of Jones getting ready for Spotify’s big event, which ELLE exclusively livestreamed from the red carpet.
