Henry Stephen Orzynski and Judson Wellford Trapnell were married Feb. 9 at the Avalon Hotel and Bungalows in Palm Springs, Calif. Patricia A. Hall, who became a Universal Life minister for the occasion, officiated.
Mr. Orzynski (left), 29, is pursuing an M.B.A. at Stanford. Until 2017, he was an associate in the private banking division of JPMorgan Chase in New York. He graduated summa cum laude from Boston University.
He is a son of Dr. Tania Orzynski and Stephen J. Orzynski, both of Denver. Mr. Orzynski’s mother is an anesthesiologist and pain specialist at US Anesthesia Partners of Colorado, a group practice in Denver. His father is a trust and estate lawyer in private practice there.
Mr. Trapnell, 39, leads events for the customer and market insights team at Salesforce, the cloud-based software company in San Francisco. He graduated from Gettysburg College, and received a Master of Management in hospitality from Cornell.
He is the son of Caroline H. Wellford of Chadds Ford, Pa., and George H. Trapnell of Wilmington, Del. He is the stepson of Kathi H. Trapnell. Mr. Trapnell’s mother retired as a real estate broker at Sotheby’s International Realty in Steamboat Springs, Colo. His father works in Montchanin, Del., as a senior vice president in the private client group at Malvern Bank National Association, which is based in Paoli, Pa.
Mr. Trapnell is a maternal great-great grandson of T. Coleman du Pont, who was the president of the DuPont Company from 1902 to 1915, a Republican senator from Delaware (serving from 1921-22 and 1925-28) and an owner of the Waldorf Astoria hotel.
Mr. Orzynski is taking Trapnell as his surname, and each is changing his middle name to Orzynski.
The couple met in 2010 at a bar in Boston and two days later Mr. Trapnell invited him to dinner and a movie.
