Helen Pollak Eisner and Kyle Jeffrey Aarons were married May 4 at Lincoln’s Cottage, a historic site and museum in Washington. Rebecca Farley David, a friend of the couple, received temporary authorization from the District of Columbia Marriage Bureau to officiate in a ceremony incorporating Jewish traditions.
Ms. Eisner, 34, is an investigative counsel at the Office of Congressional Ethics in the House of Representatives in Washington. She graduated with distinction from Cornell and received a law degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
She is the daughter of Joan F. Pollak and Dr. Richard A. Eisner of Merion, Pa. The bride’s father is a neurologist at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Her mother is a clinical social worker in Wynnewood, Pa.
Mr. Aarons, 35, is a lawyer in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance at the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, where he specializes in issues regarding Superfund site remediation. He graduated from Dartmouth and received a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Michigan, from which he also received a law degree cum laude.
He is the son of Donna M. Aarons of Woodbridge, Calif., and Dr. David R. Aarons of Lodi, Calif. The groom’s mother is the lead school nurse for the Lodi Unified School District. His father is a gastroenterologist in Lodi.
The couple were introduced in spring 2016 through the dating app Bumble.
