Heather Elizabeth Long and Andrew Park were married Oct. 12 at the Farm at Eagles Ridge, an events space in Lancaster, Pa. The Rev. Anna Layman Knox, a United Methodist minister, officiated.
Ms. Long, 37, is an economics correspondent in Washington for The Washington Post, and is also a governor of the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing, which has its headquarters at Arizona State University’s journalism school. She graduated from Wellesley College and earned master’s degrees in medieval literature and in financial economics from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes scholar.
She is a daughter of Carole K. Long and Charles R. Long of Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Mr. Park, 33, is a senior editor and writer, covering the leveraged finance industry and collateralized loan obligations, at Leveraged Commentary and Data, a daily online publication of the industry-news division of S&P Global, the financial information company; he works in the company’s Washington office. He graduated from George Washington University.
He is the son of Eunice Park and Eugene Park of Paramus, N.J.
The couple met in 2014 at Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies, a public school in the Bronx, where both were volunteering as high school student mentors. They started dating in 2016.
