Grace Christine Lindner and Samuel Elliot Rowbotham were married Oct. 6 at the Eolia Mansion in Waterford, Conn. Carl Nelson, the groom’s uncle, was granted permission by the State of Connecticut to officiate.
Mrs. Rowbotham, 30, is a manager of advertising sales revenue and platform analytics at ESPN in New York. She graduated from the University of Connecticut.
She is a daughter of Alexandra W. Lindner and Charles B. Lindner of Norwalk, Conn.
Mr. Rowbotham, 31, is an account executive at Slack Technologies, a software technology company in New York. He graduated from Penn State University.
He is a son of Dana A. Nelson of Guilford, Conn., and the late Gardner C. Rowbotham.
The couple met at a bar in New York City on Aug. 9, 2014, which happened to be the bride’s birthday.
