Virginia Mabon Knott and Scott Rawlings Leachman Jr., were married May 4 at the Coral Beach and Tennis Club in Bermuda. The Rev. Mark L. Fitzhugh, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Leachman, who is 32 and known as Fifi, is a major gifts officer in the development office at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She graduated from the University of North Carolina.
She is a daughter of Virginia Commander Knott and David M. Knott of Mill Neck, N.Y.
The bride’s father retired as the founder and managing partner of a hedge fund in Syosset, N.Y., that bears his name. Her mother is a retired executive publisher of Harris Publications, a special-interest media company based in New York.
Mr. Leachman, 30, is a director at Eldridge Industries, a private investment firm based in Greenwich, Conn. He graduated from the University of Virginia with two bachelor’s degrees, one in economics and the other in psychology.
He is a son of Marjorie Robertson Leachman and Scott Rawlings Leachman of Chevy Chase, Md.
The groom’s mother is a sales associate at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in Chevy Chase. His father is the managing partner of the Tenant Agency, a commercial real estate firm based in Washington.
The couple met in April 2016 on a blind date in New York that was set up by mutual friends.
