Erica Lynn Moody and William Joseph Barretta Jr. are to be married Dec. 8 at the Pen Ryn Estate, an events space in Bensalem, Pa. The couple are to be married in a self-uniting ceremony, as allowed by Pennsylvania law, that is to be led by Gary D. Morgan, a friend of the couple.
Ms. Moody, 36, is the managing editor for publications of the Travel Leaders Group, a travel agency company; she works from a home office in Philadelphia. She graduated cum laude from Tulane and received a master’s degree in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles.
She is a daughter of Julie Eaves Moody of Chester, England, and Jeff A. Moody of Rayville, La. Her parents, both furniture dealers, retired as the owners of Moody’s French and English Antiques, which was in Mer Rouge, La.
Mr. Barretta, 39, is known as BJ. He is the supervising producer for sports video at the Entercom Communications Corporation, a media company in Philadelphia, and oversees sports video content for the company’s digital operations. He graduated from Loyola University Maryland and received a master’s degree in producing for film and television from American University.
He is a son of Lisa A. Barretta of Philadelphia and Mr. Barretta of Haddonfield, N.J. The groom’s mother is an astrologer, intuitive counselor, certified Reiki practitioner and is the author of “Conscious Ink” (New Page Books) and “The Street Smart Psychic’s Guide to Getting a Good Reading.” (Llewellyn Publications). His father owns Barretta Tile and Stone in Voorhees, N.J.
The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met on Tinder in 2014, and had their first date in Washington.
