Emma Magdalena Dunbar and Steven Mondolino were married May 4 at Cap Maison, a resort and spa in St. Lucia. Michael Gaspard, a civil status registrar appointed by the government of St. Lucia, officiated at a ceremony led by the bride’s stepfather, Bruce Crowley.
Ms. Dunbar, 30, is the head of sales strategy and marketing in New York for Nextdoor, a social media platform that serves individual neighborhoods. She graduated from N.Y.U.
She is the daughter of Dr. Catharine Buttinger Fedeli of New York and Roger Dunbar of Davenport, Fla. The bride’s father is an emeritus professor at N.Y.U.’s Stern School of Business. Her mother is a psychiatrist in New York.
Mr. Mondolino, 29, is a financial adviser at the Wealth Enhancement Group, a financial investment and advisory firm in Darien, Conn. He graduated from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. He is the son of Diane Mondolino and Dennis Mondolino of Boca Raton, Fla. The groom’s father retired as a patent lawyer and former partner in Mayer Brown, a global law firm.
The couple met on the beach on Long Beach Island, N.J., during Fourth of July weekend in 2014.
