Ellie Krupnick and Daniel Moshe Aronhime were married Nov. 27 at Congregation Beth El in Voorhees, N.J. Rabbi Aaron B. Krupnick, the bride’s father, officiated.
Ms. Krupnick, 30, is the managing editor of Eater, the food and dining website of Vox Media in New York. She graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College.
Her mother, Helene Herman Krupnick, lives in Voorhees with the bride’s father, who is the senior rabbi at the synagogue where the wedding took place. Her mother is an adjunct professor of Judaic studies at Stockton University, in Galloway Township, N.J., and is also a doctoral candidate in contemporary Jewish studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.
Mr. Aronhime, 32, is the founder of Seedible, a producer of organic sesame butter in New York. He graduated from Yeshiva University.
He is a son of Ariane Saidry Aronhime and Lawrence B. Aronhime, both of Pikesville, Md. The groom’s mother is the development director in Baltimore for the American Technion Society, which raises money for the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. His father is a professor of business and entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. The groom is also a stepson of Dr. Sharon L. Balanson, an internist.
The couple met in 2013 at a Shabbat dinner in New York with mutual friends.
