Eliza Freudenheim Feldman and Derek John Fay were married Aug. 3 at Tribeca Rooftop, an events space in New York. Phillip Rothman, the executive director of the Brotherhood Synagogue and a registered marriage officiant in New York, officiated.
Mrs. Fay, 27, is a group sales manager at the Bloomingdale’s store in the SoHo neighborhood of New York. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami.
She is the daughter of Julie R. Freudenheim and Spencer G. Feldman of New York. The bride’s mother is the senior managing director for the sexual misconduct consulting and investigations division of T & M Protection Resources, a security firm in New York. The bride’s father is a partner in Olshan Frome Wolosky, a New York law firm.
Mr. Fay, 34, is a claims adjuster at the Black Car Fund, a workers’ compensation insurance provider for car service and limousine drivers in New York. From 2004 to 2010, he served in the United States Navy as an air crewman on anti-submarine and marine surveillance aircraft, and attained the rank of petty officer second class. He was stationed at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, and deployed to Iraq, Qatar and Japan. He graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany.
He is a son of Catherine A. Livulpi of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and John F. Fay of Livonia, N.Y. The groom’s mother retired from the IBM facility in Poughkeepsie, where she was an executive assistant in the global administration division. His father retired as a captain for the New York State Police, in the Bath, N.Y., barracks.
The couple met in 2014, when both were assigned to work on the opening of a new Lord & Taylor store in Albany.
