Elise Helene Traub and Tyler Matthew Dumler were married Nov. 14 at the Enid Haupt Gardens at the Smithsonian Castle in Washington. The Rev. Jeff Maszal, a United Church of Christ minister, officiated.
The couple met at George Washington University, from which the bride received a master’s certificate in PACs and political management, and the groom a master’s degree in political management.
The bride, 31, is a communications adviser at AARP in Washington. She graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College.
She is the daughter of Lynn Herrmann Traub of Lincoln, Mass., and the late Willard B. Traub. The bride’s mother is a registrar at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln. Her father, who was based in Framingham, Mass., was an architectural and fine art photographer whose work is on display at corporate, museum, and private collections, including the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris and the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
The groom, also 31, is a program specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington. He graduated cum laude from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., and received a law degree from the University of Kansas.
He is a son of K. Michelle Stark of Littleton, Co., and Douglas Dumler of Montezuma, Kan. The groom’s mother is an elementary and middle schoolteacher at Fort Logan Northgate in Englewood, Colo. His father owns several small businesses in Montezuma, including Diamond Limousine. He is also an inspector with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Dodge City, Kan.
