Edna Joyce Ishayik and Seth Adam London are to be married Sept. 1 at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport, R.I. Rabbi Rachel M. Isaacs is to officiate.
The bride, 39, performs research analysis at the Obama Foundation in New York. She graduated from Rutgers and received a master’s in journalism from N.Y.U.
She is a daughter of Shoshana Ishayik and Ezra Ishayik of Paramus, N.J. The bride’s father is a manager at Mary Arnold Toys, a toy shop in Manhattan. Her mother teaches Hebrew school at Temple Emeth in Teaneck, N.J.
The groom, 34, is the founder of Ground Control Partners, a political strategy and campaign management firm in Manhattan. He previously served as a legislative assistant in President Obama’s White House. He graduated from George Washington University.
He is a son of Andrea B. London and Eric S. London of Riverwoods, Ill. The groom’s mother is a retired educator at Extraordinary Kids, a kindergarten program in Northbrook, Ill. His father, also retired, was the chief executive and president of London Litho Aluminum, a graphic arts and equipment distributor to the printing industry.
The couple met in 2013 at a friend’s wedding in Lovettsville, Va.
