Eaddy Adele Hayes Kiernan and Theodore Hopkins Bunzel were married Aug. 17 at the Hammersmith Farm, an estate in Newport, R.I.
Ms. Kiernan, 33, is a special projects consultant who oversees production of the Met Gala and other events in New York. She graduated from the University of Virginia and received a master’s degree in global communications from the American University of Paris.
She is a daughter of Eaddo H. Kiernan and Peter D. Kiernan III of Greenwich, Conn. The bride’s father is the owner of Kiernan Ventures, which develops early stage businesses in New York. He is also the author of “American Mojo: Lost and Found” (Turner Publishing, 2017). The bride’s mother is a conservationist who serves on the board of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in Washington.
Mr. Bunzel, 33, is the head of business strategy and development for the retirement solutions group at Black Rock, an asset management company based in New York. He graduated from Yale and received a master’s degree in international relations and international economics from Johns Hopkins and received an M.B.A. from Stanford.
He is a son of Mary Elizabeth W. Bunzel and Jeffrey H. Bunzel of New York. The groom’s mother is a board member of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in Cold Spring, N.Y., and a board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in New York. His father is a chairman of equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank in New York.
The groom is a maternal grandson of George Herbert Walker III, a former United States ambassador to Hungary.
The couple met in 2017 on a blind date at the Library at the Public Theater, a restaurant in New York.
