Danielle Marisa Blundell and Daniel Bence Wheeler were married May 18 at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, N.J. The Rev. John Michael O’Sullivan, an affiliate of the Federation of Christian Ministries, performed the ceremony.
Ms. Blundell, 33, is the lifestyle director at Rachael Ray Every Day magazine in New York. She graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia and received a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia.
She is the daughter of Marilyn T. Blundell and John F. Blundell of Montvale, N.J. The bride’s father retired as an assistant comptroller of the MeadWestvaco Corporation, a paper products manufacturer in Richmond, Va. Her mother was a stay-at-home parent.
Mr. Wheeler, 34, is a customer relationship management specialist in the New York office of Vuture, a British marketing technology company. He studied network administration at the Moorefield campus of East Coast Polytechnic Institute in Richmond.
He is the son of Sharon B. Wheeler and Jack G. Wheeler of Richmond. The groom’s father is a telecommunications and data-network consultant for Comtel Communications in Richmond. His mother retired as a senior copywriter for Royall & Company, a marketing and public relations company, also in Richmond.
The couple met in 2003 after a concert in Richmond, where the groom was one of the performers. “It was more like friendship at first sight, with some banter,” Mr. Wheeler said. “I would crack jokes that no one else would laugh at, and she would laugh.” Within a few months, their relationship took a romantic turn.
