Dana Nicole Bongiovanni and Eduardo Garcia were married April 27 at the Queenship of Mary Church in Plainsboro, N.J. Msgr. Robert W. Medley performed the ceremony.
The couple met in Seville, Spain, through a studies abroad program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from which they graduated.
Mrs. Garcia, 29, is a health care public relations manager at Amgen, a biopharmaceutical company in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She received a master’s degree in public health from Emory University.
She is the daughter of Dawn Sanderson-Bongiovanni and Richard F. Bongiovanni of Plainsboro. The bride’s father, a certified public accountant, retired as the owner of an accounting firm in Avenel, N.J. Her mother is the head of the pharmacovigilance operations at Braeburn, a pharmaceuticals company in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
Mr. Garcia, 30, is a freelance visual effects assistant editor in Los Angeles. He is the son of Enriqueta Garcia and Eduardo A. Garcia of Lima, Peru. The groom’s father is an agro technologies manager at Ilender, a Lima-based company that develops, manufactures and markets pharmaceutical specialties and feed activities for the animal production industry. His mother was a stay-at-home-parent.
