When we saw Paloma Esser and the rest of the crochet cachet at Eckhaus Latta, we figured it was an East Coast art school thing. Then Rodarte did it, and we were like, “Okay, it’s also a Hollywood art school thing.” Then crochet showed up at Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Calvin Klein, and now it’s a full-on Fashion Week trend. Do you ever wonder if designers get together, do some shots, and come up with a trend so far out, it almost feels like a ruse? Welcome to the graduation cap and gown, as seen at the vanguard fashion collective Vaquera… and also on Kaia Gerber at Raf Simons’ collection for Calvin Klein.

And Naomi Campbell took it to another level with a head-to-heel Andy Warhol print that turned the supermodel into a walking work of art. (As if she wasn’t already.)

We also spied some cats—some Aristocats, to be precise—at Coach, along with other Disney fauna like Bambi, Thumper, Dumbo and Captain Hook’s crocodile. Those delights hit stores in 2019, but if you need something to tide you over, Red Bubble has a similar style for about $50.

And finally, Cynthia Rowley turned Morton Street into a downtown roller disco with a runway show turned derby. The models were athletes in the Miss-Sile collective, and all clothes—from hibiscus floral jumpsuits to pink gingham swing dresses—were paired with old-school glitter-wheeled skates. Seeing the controlled (and very chic) chaos in person was a total joy, but this slow-motion video has some cool details, too.
