Crosby Hamilton Burns and Jonathan Arthur Dale Herczeg were married Aug. 3 at Snake River Ranch in Wilson, Wyo. EB Kelly, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the event, officiated.
Mr. Burns (left), 32, is to begin working, in September, as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco. He was until February, working in Boston as the chief strategy officer for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Technology Services and Security. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and received a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard.
He is a son of Sandra S. Burns and Robert W. Burns of San Clemente, Calif. Mr. Burns’s mother was a stay-at-home parent. His father is a financial adviser at the Stifel Financial Corporation in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Mr. Herczeg, 38, is a senior regulatory counsel at Uber in San Francisco. He graduated from Yale and received a law degree magna cum laude from N.Y.U.
He is a son of Joan R. Herczeg and Stephen T. Herczeg of Highland Park, Ill. Mr. Herczeg’s mother retired as a social worker in the special education district of Lake County, Ill. His father is a psychologist in private practice in Highland Park.
The couple met in 2012 in Washington, where Mr. Herczeg was serving as an appointee in the Obama administration, working as a liaison at NASA headquarters in the office of the administrator, and Mr. Burns as a senior policy analyst at the Center for American Progress.
