Christa Colleen Heavey and Timothy Wolf Yeskoo were married Oct. 5 at the Lake Placid Club, a resort and golf club in Lake Placid, N.Y. The Rev. Laurin C. McArthur, a Presbyterian minister, officiated, with Dmitriy V. Burdzhalov, a friend of the couple, taking part in the ceremony.
The couple met at Stanford, from which each received a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering.
Ms. Heavey, 29, is a consultant at Energy and Environmental Economics, a clean-energy consulting firm in San Francisco. She graduated summa cum laude from Whitman College in Washington.
She is a daughter of Connie L. Heavey and Michael J. Heavey of Seattle. The bride’s father retired as a judge of the King County Superior Court in Seattle, and served in Washington’s legislature from 1987 to 2000. Her mother retired as a school nurse at Meadow Crest Early Learning Center in Renton, Wash.
Mr. Yeskoo, 30, is a doctoral candidate in civil and environmental engineering at Stanford. He graduated magna cum laude from Colgate.
He is a son of Dena Wolf Yeskoo and Richard C. Yeskoo of Summit, N.J. The groom’s mother is a counsel in the New York office of McDermott Will & Emery, a law firm. His father is a partner, in New Providence, N.J., in Yeskoo Hogan & Tamlyn, a law firm.
