Hamptons parties are not confined to weekends. Louis Vuitton held a Thursday cocktail party at Le Bilboquet in Sag Harbor, N.Y., to celebrate its latest “savoir-faire studio”: a collection of fine furniture, trunks, jewelry and other objects displayed in a modern residence on nearby Shelter Island. Needless to say, many guests wore Louis Vuitton.
The Watermill Center, founded 30 years by Robert Wilson, held its summer benefit on July 30 on its 10-acre campus in Water Mill, N.Y. The benefit was staged as a two-act theatrical work that culminated with guests working together to pull down a wooden sculpture.
And the Accessories Council handed out its annual ACE awards on Monday night at Cipriani 42nd Street. Honorees included the fashion designer Josie Natori; the watch guru Ben Clymer; and the Colombian singer J Balvin, who wore pieces from Dior Men’s new resort collection. Statement bags were popular.
“Fashion is another form of expression, and one of my great passions.” — J Balvin, accepting his Global Style Icon award from the Accessories Council.
“The majority of people responsible for me are women. As a man, I stand here because of them and support women equally.” — Victor Glemaud, accepting his award from the Accessories Council.
“This is very Hamptons. You won’t find the latest TikTok star here.” — Moti Ankari, an influencer at the Louis Vuitton party.
Instead of a sit-down dinner, guests at the Watermill Center’s benefit walked its leafy campus, taking in performances, music and art installations.
