Caroline Taylor Passano and William Patrick Cagney IV were married June 22 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Baltimore. The Rev. Jack M. Dennis, a Roman Catholic priest and an uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Cagney, 28, works in fund-raising at the Smithsonian Institution National Portrait Gallery in Washington. She graduated from Vanderbilt and received a master’s degree in art and museum studies at Georgetown.
She is a daughter of Terry Dennis Passano and William M. Passano III of Princeton, N.J. The bride’s father, who works remotely from Princeton, is the president of Zensights, a biopharmaceutical vendor management company based in Phoenix. Her mother is a retail coordinator for Lafayette 148, a women’s clothing retailer based in New York.
Mr. Cagney, 30, is a policy analyst at the Department of Defense in Washington, and a first lieutenant in the Maryland Army National Guard. From April to October 2017, he deployed to Afghanistan with the Army’s Second Battalion, Seventh Special Forces Group for a six-month month tour. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and received a master of business in finance from Florida Atlantic University.
He is the son of Cynthia Sharp Cagney and Mr. Cagney III of Linville, N.C. The groom’s father, a retired lawyer, had a criminal defense practice in Miami, Fla. His mother was a stay-at-home parent.
The couple met on Halloween 2016 through the groom’s oldest sister.
