Dr. Carly Elizabeth Hudelson and Dr. Krishna Madhav Prabhu are to be married May 19 at a private residence in Captain Cook, Hawaii. Pandit Ramananda, a Hindu priest, is to officiate.
The couple met in 2014 at Harvard Medical School, from which they each received a medical degree. Both also received master’s degrees from Oxford University in England, she in evidence-based social intervention and he in comparative social policy.
The bride and groom are now second-year internal medicine residents at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Hudelson, 31, graduated from Brown, and is a daughter of Diane S. Hudelson and Carl W. Hudelson of Hibbing, Minn. The bride’s father is a fifth-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Hibbing. Her mother, who is retired, was a second-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary.
Dr. Prabhu, 29, graduated from Harvard and is the son of Gitanjali Prabhu and G. Madhav Prabhu of Ames, Iowa. The groom’s mother is the owner of PHD Technologies, a company in Ames that provides consulting services to the food industry. His father is an associate professor of computer science at Iowa State University in Ames.
