Brittany Morgan Feldman and Dr. Judd Harris Fastenberg were married Aug. 17 at Troutbeck, an estate and hotel in Amenia, N.Y. Rabbi Andrea Frank officiated.
Mrs. Fastenberg, 34, is a founder and the executive director of Shelter Chic, a nonprofit animal rescue group based in Manhattan. She graduated from the University of Michigan and received master’s degrees in general education and special elementary education from Brooklyn College.
She is a daughter of Dana I. Feldman of Manhattan and Leslie C. Feldman, also of Manhattan. The bride’s father is the in-house counsel and management partner for the Feldman Realty Group, which owns and manages commercial real estate in Manhattan, Southampton, N.Y., and Florida. The bride’s mother retired as a supervisor for the affiliate relations department at ABC Network in Manhattan.
In October, Dr. Fastenberg, 33, will begin working as an otolaryngologist at the Long Island Jewish Hospital of Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, N.Y., where he specializes in sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery. He graduated from Duke and received a medical degree from the Albany Medical College.
He is the son of Leslie F. Fastenberg and Dr. David M. Fastenberg of Old Westbury, N.Y. The groom’s mother is a former trustee of the village of Old Westbury. His father is an ophthalmologist and a founding partner and president of the Long Island Vitreoretinal Consultants, a medical group in Great Neck, N.Y., and a clinical vice chairman of the department of ophthalmology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead, N.Y.
The couple were introduced in 2015 through a mutual friend. The groom saw a picture of the bride and was intrigued by her purple hair.
