The Public Theater held its annual gala in Central Park on Sept. 20. The gala celebrated the final performance of “Merry Wives” at the Delacorte Theater, and what would have been the 100th birthday of its founder, Joe Papp. The Museum at F.I.T. raised $700,000 at its couture council luncheon honoring Wes Gordon at Cipriani South Street on Sept. 22.
And later that night, the Central Park Conservancy celebrated its 40th year with dinner and dancing at the park’s conservatory garden, raising $2.8 million.
