Beryl Rebecca Sanders and Ari Jacob Khuner Haber were married Nov. 9 at the Queens Museum in Flushing Meadows, Corona Park, Queens. Rabbi Jonathan Jaffe officiated, with Ariel Platt, a friend of the couple, leading the ceremony.
Ms. Sanders, 28, is a senior manager for business development at Uber Eats in San Francisco, where she manages partnerships with Starbucks and McDonald’s in the United States. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a daughter of Dawn D. Sanders and Steven J. Sanders of Armonk, N.Y. The bride’s father is an executive vice president for marketing and product development at Interactive Brokers, a brokerage firm in Greenwich, Conn. Her mother tutors high school students for the SAT and ACT at WilsonPrep in Chappaqua, N.Y.
Mr. Haber, 30, is an associate in the corporate group in San Francisco office of Fenwick & West, a law firm based in Mountain View, Calif.; he focuses on technology companies and venture capital firms. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown, and received a law degree from University of California, Los Angeles.
He is the son of Kathy J. Khuner and Theda R. Haber of Berkeley, Calif. Ms. Khuner retired as a marriage and family therapist at Sutter VNA & Hospice in Emeryville, Calif. Ms. Haber retired as the general counsel of the BlackRock Institutional Trust Company in San Francisco. She is now an adjunct professor at two University of California law schools, Hastings and Davis.
The couple met in November 2015 through the dating app Hinge after initially being matched several weeks earlier on the dating app Bumble, which expired after Ms. Sanders did not initiate a conversation in the allotted time.
