Ashley Elizabeth Leathers and George Bernard Raser Timbrell were married March 2 at the Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. Rebecca Brown, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the event, officiated.
Mrs. Timbrell, 32, is a social worker at DaVita Kidney Care in Houston. She graduated from Texas A&M University, and received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston.
She is a daughter of Julie Johnson Leathers and Curtis Hall Leathers of San Antonio. The bride’s father retired as an executive at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in San Antonio. Her mother retired as an auditor at Alamo Savings of San Antonio, and is currently a choir singer with the Alamo United Methodist Church, also in San Antonio.
Mr. Timbrell, also 32, is an alternative investment professional with Zurich Insurance North America, a commercial property and casualty insurance provider in Houston. He graduated from the University of Arizona and received an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
He is a son of Ruth Raser Timbrell of San Francisco and the late Carey Harding Timbrell. The groom’s mother is a costume designer for a number of San Francisco theater organizations, including the Berkeley Playhouse, 42nd Street Moon, and Young Performer’s Theater. She is also retired as a docent with the San Francisco Modern Museum of Art. His father was an executive at the Jefferies Group, a financial services company in San Francisco.
The couple met in 2012 through a mutual friend while living in New York. Two years later, they had a chance meeting at a concert in Houston and have been together since.
