Arielle Babette Gross and Ian Henry Samuels were married Oct. 19 at the Metropolitan Club in New York. Rabbi Miriam Wajnberg officiated.
The bride, 30, is the business lead of global business marketing and creative at Facebook in New York. She is also a United Nations Women representative on the Global Innovation Coalition for Change. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
She is a daughter of Ondine Gross and George Gross of Champaign, Ill. The bride’s father is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois. Her mother is a retired school psychologist, educational consultant, and the author of “Restore the Respect: How to Mediate School Conflicts and Keep Students Learning” (Brookes Publishing, 2016).
The groom, 34, is a vice president of Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners, a holding company for technology enabled infrastructure in New York. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is the son of Faye Samuels and Donald Samuels of Tenafly, N.J. The groom’s mother is a member of the board of Youth Consultation Services in Hackensack, N.J., and retired as a senior vice president at the Equity Group in New York. His father is a retired managing partner in Pictorial Offset Corporation, a technology investor in Tenafly.
The couple met through the dating app the League in June 2016.
