Anya Taylor-Joy is continuing her awards season style streak at tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. The Queen’s Gambit actress wore a nude and black lace Vera Wang dress for Sunday’s ceremony, and on the diamond front, Taylor-Joy accessorized with roughly $800,000 in Tiffany & Co. jewels. Pieces included a $325,000 platinum necklace with a variety of diamond cuts that is both simple and sophisticated. She rounded out the look with simple round cut earrings (worth $165,000) and a trio of rings (worth $332,000 in total).
Taylor-Joy is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for her role as Beth Harmon in The Queen’s Gambit, an instant streaming hit and one of the most viewed Netflix series of all time (at the time of its release, 62 million individual users had streamed the limited series).
Taylor-Joy has had a remarkable year, scoring multiple nominations at the Golden Globes for her roles in both The Queen’s Gambit and the period satire Emma. She picked up the award for Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture for TV for the former, wearing a sensational custom Dior couture dress and Tiffany jewels for the occasion. She also wore Dior to the Critics’ Choice Awards to accept her award for Best Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series, this time in an ethereal boysenberry tulle gown.
Working with stylist Law Roach, Taylor-Joy has been serving old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist for her press appearances for The Queen’s Gambit. On creating tonight’s look with Vera Wang, Roach said: “The jewels and also history of the house always makes my girls feel ultra glamorous. As soon as the necklace went on Anya we could feel the presence of Audrey, Jackie, and Marilyn.”
