Anna Wencong Xue and F. Hadley Harris were married July 30 in their New York apartment. Edward R. Freiberg, a friend of the couple who is affiliated with Rose Ministries, officiated. On Aug. 3 the couple exchanged rings and vows at a ceremony, also led by Mr. Freiberg, at Castell d’Emporda, a hotel on the Costa Brava in Spain.
Mrs. Harris, 31, is the director for capital markets at Brookfield Asset Management in New York, and manages portfolios of interest-rate and foreign-exchange derivatives. She graduated from Peking University in Beijing, and received a master’s degree in international relations from Yale.
She is the daughter of Wendy W. Hu of Sydney, Australia, and Jack X.J. Xue of Carmel, Ind. The bride’s father is a data scientist in the Chicago office of Microsoft’s cloud computing platform division, Azure. Her mother retired as an accountant at the Founder Group, an information technology company in Shanghai.
Mr. Harris, 42, is known as Hadley. He is a founding general partner, in New York, of Eniac Ventures, a seed-stage venture-capital fund. He graduated and received an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a son of Rita F. Harris and Phillip H. Harris of Miami Beach, Fla. The groom’s mother retired as an executive vice president for client relations at Hill, Holliday, an advertising agency in Boston. His father retired as the chief executive of QuadTech, a manufacturer of test and measurement instruments; he worked in Marlborough, Mass.
The couple met at a dinner party in New York in 2017.
