Anna Jane Reddicliffe and William Vernon Biggar Jr. were married Aug. 31 at Aurora Cellars, a vineyard in Lake Leelanau, Mich. Susan Stewart Smith, a friend of the couple who was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries for the occasion, officiated.
The couple, both 28, met at Colgate University, from which each graduated.
Mrs. Biggar is an account executive in the Chicago office of Salesforce, a cloud-based software company based in San Francisco.
She is a daughter of Connie Reddicliffe and Steve Reddicliffe of Larchmont, N.Y. The bride’s father is the deputy editor of the international edition at The New York Times, where, from 1987 to 1991, her mother was a copy editor for the culture and real estate desks. In June, the bride’s mother retired from the human resources department at the French-American School of New York in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
Mr. Biggar is pursuing an M.B.A. at the University of Chicago. Until 2018 the groom, a chartered financial analyst, worked in New York as a senior associate in the portfolio analysis group of the global wealth management division at Pimco, an investment company. Until 2018 he was a chairman of the young leaders board of the Children’s Scholarship Fund in New York, a provider of scholarships to low-income families in the five boroughs.
He is the son of Jane Biggar and William Biggar of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The groom’s mother is a medical coordinator at Healthnetwork Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Chagrin Falls. His father is based in Chagrin Falls as the senior vice president for sales of CEA Fresh Farms in New York, which is focused on building indoor farms and growing lettuce and leafy greens for the eastern half of the United States. The groom’s father is also the president of the Bluecoats Organization of Cuyahoga County in Ohio, devoted to helping the families of Cuyahoga County police, fire and safety forces who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
