Angharad Margaret Rebholz and Michael Albert Blaakman are to be married Nov. 10 at Christ Church in New Haven, Conn. Rev. Stephen C. Holton, an Episcopal priest and the church rector, is to officiate.
The bride, 26, is a middle school humanities teacher at Princeton Day School in Princeton, N.J. She graduated from Yale, and is pursuing a master’s degree in global and comparative history at Rutgers. She is the daughter of Deidre J. Byrne and Raymond Rebholz of Saugerties, N.Y.
The groom, 32, is an assistant professor of early American history at Princeton. He graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and received a Ph.D. in history from Yale. He is a son of Laurene Blaakman and Marcus W. Blaakman of Fairport, N.Y.
The couple met in 2011 when they were both singers in the Yale Camerata, a choir at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.
