Ana Vivienne Buling and Jack Harmon Peterson-Daily were married Oct. 19 at the Foundry in Long Island City, Queens. Gail K. Johnson, a friend of the couple who is a Universal Life minister, officiated.
The bride, 28, is a white collar associate at King & Spalding, an Atlanta-based international law firm. She graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University and received a law degree from Georgetown.
She is the daughter of Sanja Buling and Tale Buling of Lawrenceville, Ga. The bride’s father, who is retired, worked as a sales manager based in Lawrenceville and Skopje, Macedonia, for International Food Bazaar, a food importer and exporter in Skopje. Her mother is a substitute teacher at Gwinnett County Public Schools in Georgia.
The groom, 27, is an assistant district attorney at the Office of the District Attorney in Bronx County. He graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers and received a law degree with honors from the George Washington University.
He is a son of Sue D. Peterson and Dan Daily of Ringwood, N.J. The groom’s mother is the associate director of the office of international education’s inbound programs division at St. John’s University in Jamaica, Queens, and Manhattan. She is based at the Manhattan campus. She is an author of three English as a second language textbooks. His father, an actor, appeared in several films including in the role of Scotty in the crime drama “The Kitchen” (2019), a political aide in the film “Duplicity” (2009) and a Saratoga horse trainer in “Sea Biscuit” (2003). He is the president of the board of the Resident Acting Company, a classical resident theater company in Manhattan.
The couple are taking the surname Daily.
The couple met in 2016 during law school while clerking at the Department of Justice under Ms. Johnson, a supervisory trial counsel there, and their officiant.
