Bklyn Clay, a ceramics studio that offers classes and sells ceramics and materials for potters, has introduced a line of practical stoneware bowls and plates in several sizes. The collection, initially offered in white, now includes satin or glossy finishes, speckled or not, in a range of colors, including celadon, saddle, saffron and a shade of royal blue called cosmo. The plates can be used as covers for the bowls and the pieces are safe in the dishwasher or microwave. Though they’re suitable for everyday use, the price suggests the special occasion category at $40 to $60 per piece, with five-piece dinnerware sets ranging from $255 to $1,020.
