Amanda Clare Neilan and Jason Samuel Beinstein were married June 15 at the Senate Garage, an events space in Kingston, N.Y. Stuart B. Chernoff, a minister ordained by the Spiritual Humanist Church, performed a nondenominational ceremony.
The bride, 29, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at NewYork-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medicine. She graduated from Binghamton University, and received a master of science degree in nursing from N.Y.U.
She is the daughter of Elsa C. Neilan and Terence P. Neilan of Port Washington, N.Y. The bride’s father retired as the deputy head of the continuous news desk at The New York Times. Her mother is a psychologist in private practice in New York.
The groom, who is 35 and works in New York, is a senior technical project manager for the Smithsonian Channel. He graduated from the University of Delaware. He is the son of Stanley A. Beinstein of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and the late Rosalie L. Beinstein. The groom’s father is a retired radio sales executive in Poughkeepsie. The groom’s mother was an artist who specialized in oil paintings before becoming a stay-at-home-parent.
The couple met in 2013 through mutual friends in New York.
