Allison Pilar Cutler and Richard Peter Zemsky were married Nov. 17 at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, N.J. Rabbi Dennis N. Math officiated, with the Rev. Richard J. Nelson, a retired Roman Catholic priest, taking part.
Mrs. Zemsky, 27, is a guest engagement manager at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received a master’s degree in museum anthropology from Columbia.
She is the daughter of Nellie Gonzalez Cutler and Marc S. Cutler of New City, N.Y. The bride’s father is a partner in an accounting firm in New City, N.Y., that bears his name. Her mother, who worked in New York, retired as the editor of Time for Kids.
Mr. Zemsky, 32, is a founder and the chief operating officer of Neurovation Labs, a New York-based biotech company developing diagnostics and treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder. He also serves as chief operating officer of AIMCast, a media distribution company, also in New York. He graduated magna cum laude from Villanova and received a law degree from Columbia.
He is the son of Grace Anthony Zemsky and Kenneth T. Zemsky of West Nyack, N.Y. The groom’s mother is a West Nyack-based freelance photographer and artist. His father is a managing director in the state and local tax group at Andersen Tax, an accounting firm in New York. He is also an adjunct professor in the business school on the Newark campus of Rutgers University. He is the author of several novels, including “An Angel’s Noel” (Amazon, 2017).
The couple have known each other since they were young children. They reconnected in 2014, when she was 23, and he was 28, at a dinner with their families, and began dating two years later.
